Every package includes club-style lighting with haze that makes beams of light visible through the air, clean music edits appropriate for all ages, and live song requests via a scannable QR code. DJ Illusion hosts your dance rather than just playing music for it. Your DJ is also your MC, running introductions, announcements, and the court crowning while keeping your program on time from the first song to the last. Stephen was our DJ for our elementary school dance in May 2014, we chose to hire Stephen again this year for our Fall Harvest Dance in Nov 2014. He was awesome to work with, had the perfect mix of music for young students and did all of the games and activities that I had asked for exceptionally well. The kids had a blast and loved every moment of the dance. I personally loved the dance even more with Stephen as our DJ because he took the stress of the night off of me and took control of the games and dances. He is truly a wonderful person to work with and helped our school hold a successful and fun school dance! Thank you Stephen!!! We look forward to our upcoming dance in a few days!

We host the whole dance, not just play music. Your DJ is also your MC, from introductions and announcements to the homecoming or prom court crowning, so an adult professional is always running the room and your program stays on time. You decide how much mic presence you want, and we keep it energetic and age-appropriate for students. Our job is to guide the flow of the night without ever talking over it.
Yes, we play censored, radio-appropriate music suitable for guests of all ages. Students can request the songs they enjoy and administrators don’t have to worry about explicit lyrics coming out of the speakers.
We provide a questionnaire to gather song requests and a do not play list in advance. Students can also make live requests from their phones using a QR code, no app needed.
Yes. Purchase orders, school invoicing, ASB funding, parent committee checks, you name it. We make the paperwork easy on your end. We have master services agreements established with many of the school districts around Seattle making the booking process as easy as signing a statement of work to get a PO started.
Yes. DJ Illusion carries comprehensive event liability insurance with a $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate limit. Certificates of insurance and custom COIs naming your school or district are available upon request.
We include a professional, concert-grade hazer with most of our lighting packages. Haze is what makes beams of light visible through the air. We always confirm your venue’s haze policy with you ahead of time.
Absolutely. We bring backup laptops and audio/lighting redundancy to every event. Equipment failure isn’t something you’ll have to stress about.
As many schools are looking to book on the same days for spring prom and fall homecoming, we encourage you to book 6 to 12 months in advance. Our calendar books up quickly. Once your dance dates are confirmed for the year, we would encourage you to reach out right away.
We arrive one to three hours before events for load-in and setup, depending on the package and add-ons you select. Teardown generally takes about an hour. Things like how close to your stage we can unload, if we need to use an elevator or traverse stairs, all impact how quickly we can work. We coordinate directly with your venue coordinator to keep it smooth.
We cover the greater Seattle area including Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Renton, Kent, Federal Way, Tacoma, and Everett. We often travel up to 50 miles outside of Seattle, so contact us for events outside this range.
