DJ Illusion is based in Seattle and regularly plays events in Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, and across the greater Seattle area. We often travel up to 50 miles from Seattle, but if your venue sits outside that range, just ask, because we travel for the right event.

Booking & pricing

DJ Illusion's packages start at $999, and the final price depends on your event type, the hours you need, and any add-ons you choose, like a photo booth or karaoke. We provide ballpark pricing on our services page, so you can see real numbers before you ever talk to us. Send your date and details, and we'll return a full quote within a day.

The sooner the better, especially for school homecoming dances, prom, and around the holidays. Saturdays in these peak periods can book 6 to 12 months out, so plan early. If your date is close, still reach out, because we'll let you know immediately if we're available.

For private events, a 10% deposit reserves your date and comes out of your final balance, with the remainder due one week before the event. We keep payment simple and accept credit cards online.

For schools and corporate events, we're happy to accept credit cards or work off a PO with Net 30 terms.

Plans change, and we'll always work with you where we can. Your written agreement lays out how deposits and rescheduling are handled, so everything is clear before you book. If you need to move a date, reach out as early as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate it.

For cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance, you forfeit only the initial deposit.

Gratuity is not expected and is entirely up to you. What matters most to us is that your event was everything you hoped for.

Music & requests

Absolutely. We send you a questionnaire ahead of time to gather your music preferences, including a must-play list and a do-not-play list. During the event, your guests can request songs right from their phones by scanning the QR code we provide.

We keep our music current with Top 40 pop, hip-hop, and EDM. If there's a popular track we don't already have, we can almost always pull it on the spot from our streaming partners.

Our karaoke catalog has over 60,000 songs, spanning every era and genre your guests are likely to ask for.

Legality is important. We source our music through reputable vendors that provide us with usage rights for public play.

We play everything from current Top 40 and hip-hop to throwbacks, Latin, country, and the classics, and we tailor the blend to your crowd. Tell us the feel you're going for, whether that's an all-out dance party or a steady background groove, and we'll shape the night around it. Reading the room is the core of what we do.

Unless you tell us otherwise, we play radio-clean edits only. For school events, we screen every guest request so nothing inappropriate slips through. Administrators and teachers can enjoy the night knowing the music is school-appropriate from start to finish.

Karaoke & photo booth

No, we provide hosted karaoke, not a drop-off machine. We run the queue live, hand out premium Shure SLX-D wireless microphones, and keep singers rotating so everyone gets a turn. Guests choose from an online catalog of over 60,000 tracks, and we keep the night moving so it never stalls.

Yes, we fully customize all digital and print assets. We can add your company logo or event name to every print, which turns the photo strips into a keepsake guests take home. The booth runs continuously through your event with an attendant on hand, so the line stays fast and fun.

Logistics & insurance

Yes, DJ Illusion carries liability insurance, and we can provide a certificate of insurance for your venue on request. Many corporate venues and school districts require one, so let us know who to name and we'll send it over. It's a routine part of booking and we handle it quickly.

A standard setup needs roughly a 10 ft by 10 ft area and access to a nearby power outlet, and we'll confirm the exact requirements once we know your venue. For our club-style events, we require a 20-amp circuit or two 15-amp outlets.

We arrive at least an hour early to set up and sound check well before your guests do, so everything is ready when the event starts. Larger setups or add-ons like a photo booth may need a little more room, which we'll plan with you in advance.

Yes, we handle energetic introductions and announcements and keep your timeline on track, from grand entrances to last call. You decide how much mic presence you want, and we match it. Our job is to guide the flow of the night without ever talking over it.

We bring backup gear to every event and run professional, well-maintained equipment, so a single failure never ends the night. We also build in contingency plans for the unexpected, because keeping your dance floor going is the whole job. You should never have to think about the technical side, and with us you won't.
